Biography

The Story of King Khan

Shah Rukh Khan — known to the world as SRK, and to his fans simply as King Khan — is the most celebrated actor in the history of Indian cinema. Born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, he grew up in a middle-class family with a love for cricket, theatre, and an unshakeable belief that he was destined for something extraordinary.

He studied at St. Columba's School and later at Hansraj College, Delhi, where he discovered acting through the theatre group Theatre Action Group (TAG). His early television work — most notably in Fauji and Circus — gave him a devoted following before he ever set foot in Mumbai.

He arrived in Bollywood in 1992 with Deewana and never looked back. What followed was one of the most remarkable careers in cinema history — villain roles that made audiences root for the bad guy, romantic heroes who redefined love on screen, and dramatic performances that left critics speechless. He became the face of a new, aspirational India.

Today, SRK is more than an actor. He is a cultural phenomenon. His films have been watched by billions across the world. He has been honoured by governments, universities, and film institutions on every continent. He is the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, the founder of Red Chillies Entertainment, and a philanthropist whose Meer Foundation supports acid attack survivors. But above all, he is the man who spread his arms wide and told the world: I love you.

"

"Success is not a good teacher. Failure makes you humble. But what makes you great is the love of the people who believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself."
